COVID Test Kit Program
The Virginia Department of health (VDH) is providing free COVID rapid antigen tests to be distributed by public libraries including Orange County Public Library.
The pilot program will last until Dec. 29th, 2021

If you are symptomatic, send someone else to get the test kit for you. Wear a mask to pick up the test kit.
Pickup of tests is via curbside service only and is limited to 4 per adult. Tests provided are for individuals not businesses or agencies. Supply is limited and not guaranteed.
Same day reservations may be made by phone, but any tests not picked up by close of business will be made available to others. You may contact us at the following numbers: Main Library in Orange (540) 672-3811, Wilderness Branch in Locust Grove (540) 854-310, Gordonsville Branch (540) 832-0712. Visit the library’s website at https://www.ocplva.org for operating and holiday hours. We will not reserve tests based on voicemail messages.
Have a plan to use the test kits within 2 weeks. Tests expire Dec. 28 or 29, 2021.
You will need a valid photo ID, including a driver’s license, passport, passport card, birth certificate, state-issued identification card, military ID card, or official school ID to take the test (though no ID or library card is needed to pick up a test kit).
Library staff cannot answer questions about the tests, please use the resources below if needed.
You will need an internet connection and an internet-enabled device, such as a computer, mobile phone, or tablet, with a webcam or front-facing camera, microphone, and speaker to take the test, which uses an online proctor. Digital verification of a negative test is available. An e-mail address is required as is download of the NAVICA app. NAVICA tech support can be reached at 800-257-9525.
This program uses e-Med BinaxNow Antigen Card Home tests which are authorized for ages 4 and over. If you are having difficulty viewing the results of your test or need them to be e-mailed to you, please contact e-Med customer support at (844) 943-0061.
Can I take my test at the library? No that is not allowed due to the hazardous waste created. If needed, use the Wi-Fi in the parking lot to take your online test and then please dispose of it in your own household trash.
